What To Do In San Antonio June 2022

My goodness, time flies by so fast! I feel like the month of May just got started and all of a sudden it’s over. Travel season kicks off this weekend and like many of you, I’m taking a much-needed trip. But when I get back I’m looking forward to enjoying some events near home. Here are 10 events you might enjoy this month one June.

June 3 ‘The Suffers’

There is a contagious and combustible energy every time the eight-piece band, The Suffers, steps on the scene. NPR’s Bob Boilen attributes the band’s allure to their “Soul, straight from horn to heart.” He adds, “This band is on fire when it’s in front of an audience…but the intensity of their shows is also captured in the studio.”  Following The Suffers’ electrifying late-night TV debut on Letterman in 2015, David Letterman exclaimed, “If you can’t do this, get out of the business!” The Suffers exploded onto the scene that same year with their dazzling EP Make Some Room followed by their heralded self-titled debut in 2016.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION IS THE KEY TO FREEDOM.” Freedom in 1865 meant no more slavery. Today, that freedom includes education, economics, and social opportunities. Our children need to understand the importance of Juneteenth (June 19, 1865) as the oldest known celebration of the ending of slavery here in America. The ability to access and attain information is critical to one’s overall success which includes education and our daily living experiences.
