San Antonio Real Estate Report | San Antonio Home Sales

In the last week of San Antonio home sales for 2023, we saw a sharp decline in the total number of homes sold, from 408 down to 224. This was no surprise, considering the Holiday activities.

On the other hand, the average sales price jumped up by nearly $8,000, and the median home sales price surged $24,500.

This tells me that many higher-priced home buyers are reacting to the lower interest rates and entering the market.

Will the housing market gain traction in 2024? Only time will tell. I think we will sell more homes in 2024, but I don’t see a significant price runup anytime soon.

The Fed has signaled they may cut rates in 2024, but that decision could change, and rates could go back up.
